Taylor Swift has officially reclaimed her masters. Six years after calling Scooter Braun’s acquisition of her first six albums the “worst case scenario,” she’s now bought back the rights to her full Big Machine-era catalog from Shamrock Capital for an undisclosed nine-figure sum. So what does this mean for the remaining Taylor’s Version re-recordings? The re-cut of her 2006 debut is finished — but Reputation (TV), she says, doesn’t really exist.
